FAQ

  • What do the difficulty levels really mean?
For most of our products we use three difficulty levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced. Beginner refers to junior high or young high school groups. Intermediate would be your typical high school group. Advanced would be for good high schools and into college groups. While these are quite general in nature we do offer perusal scores for each piece so you can really see what you're getting.
  • What do you mean by "4 or 5 basses" in the instrumentation?"
We try to write all of my drumline exercises and cadences with instrumentation for 4 or 5 bass drums since these are the two most common size lines. If your product says "4 or 5 basses" in the instrumentation that means there is a version for each. Your product will include a score for 5 basses (labeled "5B") and another score for 4 basses. You will also receive parts for each.
  • Do you offer extra copies of scores for festivals?
YES! There's no need for you to buy additional copy of the product when you can purchase a Festival Score. We will send you "festival scores" in PDF format with your name, ensemble name and the date(s) of your performance(s) imprinted on them along with a letter to the judges. Print as many copies as you'd like and recylce them when you're done. For more information visit our Festival Scores page.
  • How are my items delivered?
We have two different delivery methods for our music, Physical Scores and Downloadable Products. Physical Scores are typically used with our ensemble works for the concert setting. The score comes as a professional printed and bound hard copy. Included with your order is a USB Flash Drive that contains all of the parts in PDF format for printing as well as MP3 files and any other pertinent files. Downloadable Products are typically used for our marching percussion products. After you have completed the checkout process you will receive an email with a downloadable link. Your product will come in the form of a ZIP file that includes all scores and parts in PDF format for printing as well as MP3 files and any other pertinent files. When purchasing full shows or custom arrangements we will work out delivery arrangements that suit your needs during the purchase process.
  • I live in the DFW area, can I pick up products from you?"
SURE! While it might just be easier for all of us if the product is shipped, if you're willing to come to me and work around my schedule I'm happy to hand deliver products to you. Contact us for more information.
  • Why do you not offer hard copies of parts? What if an adjudicator questions my parts?
We never print any parts, regardless of whether or not you purchase a downloadable product or a physical score. If you purchase a physical score you will also receive a USB flash drive with PDF files of all the parts for printing. The reason we do this is two-fold. First and most importantly, as an educator (specifically in high school and younger groups) it is extremely difficult to keep track of original copies of parts from students. If you hand them out, the students are likely to lose them and they should certainly be marking all over them. If you make photo copies of the parts then you still have to provide the originals for performances. All around it's a hassle. If parts are delivered to you on a flash drive there is no need to worry about students losing originals or getting parts turned back in. In fact, you can even send parts to students electronically if you are so inclined. Second, it saves us money on the production cost, thus saving you money when purchasing the item. All in all it sounds like a win win. If you ever have an adjudicator question the authority of your parts, please direct them to this page where I clearly explain that I don't provide hard copies of parts. They should understand.
  • How soon will I receive my items?
If you are ordering a downloadable product you should receive an email with the download link almost immediately. Be sure to check your spam folder if you can't find it. If you are ordering a physical product from us we will have the item packaged and dropped off at the Post Office within 48 hours (not including Saturdays, Sundays or holidays) from the time of your order. We know you want your music in hand and we will do our best to have it shipped as soon as possible. Shipping times vary on the Post Office and the method of shipping you selected. See our store policy page for more information.
  • What happens if I lose my downloadable product?
We understand life happens. If you lose your email with the link or your computer crashes, it will be okay. Contact us with your information and we will send you a new download link once we have verifed your original order.
